Paula is a software developer from Australia, living and working in the USA for over half of her career. She has dual citizenship between both countries.
As an architect and developer of early RDF graph databases (Tucana Knowledge Store, and Mulgara), Paula has maintained an interest in graph data for many years, and across several projects. Working with ontological systems on these systems led to logic processing and rules systems for graph databases.
After learning the processes of Functional Programming from the Scheme language, Paula started focusing on libraries and languages which enabled this paradigm, eventually focusing most of her efforts on using the Clojure language.
Paula's current focus is on the Naga, Asami and Zuko projects. These started with Naga as a hobby project for building rule systems for 3rd party databases, but have since been brought into her professional role at Cisco Systems.
