This looks really cool! We should discuss developing this into a full TOAST operator. Would you be open to that?

The gnomview plots in the bottom look a little clunky because the Healpix pixels are undersampled. If you use xsize=800, reso=3 and drop ysize altogether, you'll see the Healpix pixel outlines. I'm happy to merge the PR as it is or you can adjust the gnomview command first, which ever you like.
