Some records in the catalogue combine information from several printed sources of varying dates. Collaboration with external projects is also likely to lead to information being added to the records from external sources (e.g. the Mapping Manuscript Migrations projects).
The responsibility for different elements of the description is expressed, in complex records, using the @resp attribute, which typically links to @xml:id on <respStmt>, although it could also link to @xml:id on <change> or <bibl> for example.
See here for an example of this markup: https://github.com/bodleian/medieval-mss/blob/master/collections/Canon_Liturg/MS_Canon_Liturg_374.xml
This means that the responsibility can be seen by viewing the original XML file (although this is not yet easy to do: issue 22. However, some users might like to be able to see it displayed in the online record view as view (at least one user has talked to me about this). I don't think it should be the default view (too fussy), but maybe there could be a button "Show full source details for this record" (or similar) that would enable such a display?
