sorry, i dont see what makes the diff more robust, can you comment?

On older Julia versions, the @test interferes with the symbolic expression and crashes.
I do not understand why, but this is what happened.
Now I just evaluate the result and test for true in the end.

I merge this to continue with debugging. The change is only in the tests and equivalent.
