We will see how to prepare and export an assets.
-
Select the object you want to export.
-
Open the Tool panel in 3D View (T), enlarge it.
-
Open Unreal Engine Panel > Object > General.
-
Set the Export Type property to "Export Recursive".
-
Now repeat the task for all the objects you want to export.
Please note each object having the property "Export Recursive" will export with all its children in a Fbx file.
If you don't want to export a child select it and set Export Type to "Not Exported"
- In the export panel click on "Export For Unreal Engine"
- Copy import script with "Copy import script (Assets)"
- In Unreal Engine paste with Ctrl+V in console and press enter.
Tada!
Please note that the addon does not manage materials.
