missing configure script

The INSTALL file includes several references to a configure script which must be run before running make. The configure script is not in this repository. I suspect the INSTALL file is in error, and there is another way to build this project, but I cannot find it. Is this project maintained?

see if conky-manager2 (v2.5) builds or just check the HOWTOBUILD document(either should build the same).
