There are two GeoNames identifiers that are confusing
Or they are not PID providers

GeoNames http://www.geonames.org/
and
GeoNames https://geonames.nga.mil/namesgaz/

It would be really helpful to have these two clearly defined in a list like Heritage PID Resources

Thank you for your suggestion, the two services definitely are confusing. I think the second one isn't a PID provider and the link we have goes to the first so I suggest we keep the one entry for now.
