Using a negative coefficient to constrain column width to minimum size no longer appears to work in this update.

Not working:

\begin{table}[H]
  \begin{tabu} to 0.9\linewidth { X[-1lm] X[-2lm] X[-2lm] }
    ID                & Category             & Example Data \\ 
   \end{tabu}
\end{table}

Working:

\begin{table}[H]
  \begin{tabu} to 0.9\linewidth { X[1lm] X[2lm] X[2lm] }
    ID                & Category             & Example Data \\ 
   \end{tabu}
\end{table}
