How could the content be improved?

#885 is currently open, to remove the episode about plyr and close #540. That issue (#540) also suggested replacing this episode with content introducing purrr. I am opening this issue as a place to continue that discussion. Please read the thread on #540 for more context, and contribute to the discussion here about whether or not purrr is relevant/appropriate to include in this lesson.

Just reposting my comment here

That being said, I would argue that purrr is already a more advanced library and maybe not suitable for a novice R workshop?
