To compile and install, try this:

root> gmake
root> gmake install

Edit /etc/hsflowd.conf for configuration.  The options are
described in the comments there.

To test-run with full logging to stdout/stderr:

root> hsflowd -ddd

To schedule the daemon, it is recommended that you use the mkssys(1) command
to turn the hsflowd executable directly into a daemon service.  However
you can also opt for the init-scripts approach.   The daemon can be started
using this script:

root> /etc/rc.d/init.d/hsflowd start

and check the syslog (view or edit /etc/syslog.conf for details) for errors.

If Open VSwitch is running, starting sflowovsd will propagate
sFlow configuration to the switch via ovs-vsctl(1):

root> /etc/rc.d/init.d/sflowovsd start

To run in the debugger, recompile with:

root> gmake OPT=-g

and then run with the "-d" command line option to
prevent daemonization:

% gdb hsflowd
gdb> set args -d
gdb> r

To build an rpm, try:

% gmake aixrpm

Subject to the rpm package configuration, the rpm is likely be written to /opt/freeware/src/packages/RPMS/ppc/
