Description

Addresses #242 (partial)

Ensures backward compatibility with pandas<2.2 and forward compatibility with pandas 3.0.

Type of change

  • Bug fix (non-breaking change which fixes an issue)

How Has This Been Tested?

via pytest

Test Configuration:

  • Operating system: Sonoma 14.6.1
  • Version number: Python 3.11.5
  • pandas 2.1.4

Checklist:

  • Make sure you are merging into the develop (not main) branch
  • My code follows the style guidelines of this project
  • I have performed a self-review of my own code
  • I have commented my code, particularly in hard-to-understand areas
