U should use MultiMC launcher and run it in terminal. |
There is a fix for this issue for Simple Voice Chat that also works with Plasmo Voice https://github.com/henkelmax/simple-voice-chat/tree/1.18.1/macos |
That fix doesn't seem to be working. Launching from the terminal does but that is far from ideal. |
how do you launch from terminal? im using curseforge |
you run the binary inside the .app container. Find the path where your launcher app is and run the following: |
Doesn't work ❌ |
Worked for me, i just used and it asked for microphone permission. |
Use Prism Launcher. This launcher is more secure and better than PolyMC from the same developers. It launches PlasmoVoice through macOS. I don't think the Plasmo Voice developers can make a request for microphone permission in a Minecraft app, and it is unlikely that Mojang will accept these additions by making a major change in privacy policy to request microphone permission. |
I'm playing on a server with the plugin installed and most other people can use it completely fine but the Mac users can't seem to use the mod correctly. Whenever you open the voice menu, the only input and output options are CoreAudio Default, even though the Mac can detect the microphone correctly.
