The way coding is involved in the competition needs to be significantly revised. Coding challenges no longer well gauge student understanding of programming concepts with the rise of LLMs. The way this issue is resolved can take numerous forms but some options are included below.
Creation of a coding project like those of 61A
Live coding challenge competition during matches (likely easy, quick problems)
If challenges are kept, a new website for code submission and grading
Such a project requires close collaboration with Atlas and Leadership as it could change a major aspect of the game.
If this project has too large of a scope, we simply need to create new coding challenges for the upcoming game and create a better way of scoring and keeping track of submissions since GradeScope didn't work particularly well. (Jupyter Notebook?)
Update: The UI for the coding challenges should be Uber-themed.
