Improve UI on mobile

Regarding the site OpenStreetMap.community:

The UI is too cramped on mobile. Once you click to bring up the list, there is no screen space left to pan/zoom the map toa new location.

Have you spotted the little eraser symbol next to the heading? :-)

Thanks for making it a little easier to use. I think that a small X in the top right corner would be more logical than an eraser symbol.

It is pretty much unusable in mobile view if you open a direct link like this: https://openstreetmap.community/?map=49.79900,8.31769&zoom=8.87

What is the status or plan here? Would you merge a PR adding a simple X to close the popup? I'm not a webdeveloper but might be able to pull this off anyway. I'd be even happier if someone else with more experience in this field took care of it though.
