Hi, sidetrack description: have macbook PRO mid 2012 and instead of installing Catallina I have tried to install 3 different linux distros (using daily on some other machines as well as macOS) and Elementary is a TOP ONE. Definitelly.
After installing system.. what I missed and how did I forced system to work the way it is the best for user coming from MAC:
result: Working with 3 finger back and forward using APP from app store "Apps" called: Touche.
settings: three finger left or right, setup: for swipe with 3 fingers left: xdotool key Alt+Right, with 3 fingers right: xdotool key Alt+Left.
in case xdotool is not working, you must install it using terminal, apt-get..
screenshots:
mac does NOT have print, so default is not working. For me using standard hot key settings was to relocate buttons to "eject" and shift (not having DVD, so this button has been allowed to be used).
Result:
I think these steps should be implemented for users coming from MAC, used to use HW in a MAC way, not MS way. Better way to switch for back-forward to be used - instead of three fingers for two.. there is no reason from user point of view to use it this way. Users from mac must switch from 2 fingers to 3.
As a MS, MAC and Linux user I must say - this is the BEST distro for MAC users (writing this on i5 2012 MID Macbook PRO with all the HW in fully functionality including ACPI and LID wake up and sleep. Even original Catallina had SW issues with some of my HW failing signals.. Kernel did it in a perceft way and is working..)

wifi not working. Solution:
need to install drivers using ethernet - sudo apt install bcmwl-kernel-source
some article is here, but for me connecting to the wired ethernet is the easiest way:

two finger gesture not working in terms of back and forward.. Solution:
