There is a discussion on this same topic on JOSS, and I wonder if there are similar plans for JOSE.

hi @nicoguaro – sincere apologies, but it turns out I wasn't "watching" this repository and have not come poking here in a long time (I had it set to "only when @-mentioned"... I changed it now).

I have now reviewed the whole thread over at JOSS, and found that Arfon commented only a few days ago that he was going to re-submit the journal to Scopus. I wrote him to ask what the submission entails. I'm not optimistic, as they are fairly picky about their arbitrary "acceptance rate" criterion (from higher up in the thread, and the reason for rejecting JOSS in the first place). But I'll look into it.
