As discussed at last week's meeting, we want to prepare 3 (or 4) introductory examples. The following three have already been decided upon:

  1. PV with battery storage investment of a single family home @???
    • Step 0: Just grid electricity and demand (learning: trivial dispatch)
    • Step 1: without storage (learning: capacity planning)
    • Step 2: with battery investment (learning: storage investment)
    • Step 3: minimum autarky grade of system (learning: how to apply custom constraints)
  2. Load management, single EV car @p-snft, @AntonellaConsolinno, @???
    • Step 0: Plugged EV as load with pre-calculated charging time series (learning: trivial dispatch)
    • Step 1: Unidirektional (learning: dispatch with shifting under simple constraint)
    • Step 2: Variable electricity prices (learning: how to include time series for costs)
    • Step 3: Bidirectional (learning: looped energy flow as indicator for flawed model)
    • Step 4: Power-related costs (as a proxy for battery ageing)
  3. Portfolioplanning of heat provider (learning: Mixed Integer modeling) @maltefritz, @jfreissmann
    • Step 1: all linear Gas boiler
    • Step 2: waste heat + HP and storage
    • Step 3: minimum load
    • Step 4: part load efficiencies
  4. Maybe one more?!

I would like to organize a meeting in the first week of December for this to harmonize the structures before jumping into completing the tutorials.
