Startup apps cause bootloop on my calculator (ndless and nloader OS 4.4 ) #289
Comments
You can press and hold Esc during boot to disable startup applications temporarily. It's possible that when nLaunch(y) loads ndless, the OS isn't in the right state for mViewer and Crafti to work. |
Oh, really disppointing to know that. Didn´t know that Esc could help me saving the time to restore my files. I´m closing this issue because it´s more of a "bug report" than an actual issue. Edit:Maybe delaying startup apps within a certain time, could help? Don´t know, just an idea |
That's what they're for! I'll have a look whether this is something which can be fixed or worked around easily. |
Ok, wish you luck. Give news if you find something |
Sorry, but I only realised this error today. It´s not nLaunch, it´s nLoader. So similar to me that I didn´t noticed sooner. Sorry |
I´ve uninstalled nLoader from my calculator and made a test to install ndless with things on startup folder (should have done it earlier) and the calculator just reboots and fails Ndless install. This doesn´t happens in OS versions like 4.5.0 which means that nLoader doesn´t have to do with this |
Recently I installed nlaunch on my calculator and tried to copy nclock to the ndless/startup folder and even though I saw that nclock wasn´t working correctly, I resetted my calculator to see if automatically starting up the nclock would work and when I´ve done that, after the OS loads and goes into that loading clock to start the system, it crashes and boots again.
I was able to recover the calculator just by deleting the files with the maintance menu.
I also tried with mviewer (which doesn´t cause bootloop, but it also doesn´t load at startup) and crafti (this caused bootloop).
Just wanted to let you know, because I think it´s not supposed to be like that. It would also be a bit handy to get it to work, but since nclock is having issues with OS 4.4, maybe I´ll not use it.
