GET READY TO SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT: Project Submission Checklist ✅

As we near the finish line of this year’s NASA Space Apps Challenge, we suggest experimenting with your project submission page NOW!

• Project Submission Guide: Read the guide for everything you need to know about submitting your project.
• Project Submission video: This video provides step-by-step instructions on how to submit your project.
• Links: Double-check that all of the links in your project demo and final project do not require a password, permission, or registration to access. If any of the links are private or require permission, your project may be excluded from the judging process!
• Resource Requirements: To be eligible for Global Judging, your project submission must include at least one NASA resource. All resources must be open source. You must show documented permission to use copyrighted materials. If AI is utilized, it must be identified in your project submission, however will not impact the judging of your project.
• Saving and Submitting: You can edit, save, and submit your project for judging as many times as you want until your project submission deadline on your Project Submission page. Only your last submission will be considered for Global Judging.
• Deadlines: Your project must be submitted on spaceappschallenge.org by October 6 at 11:59 PM local time (in accordance with the local time of the Local Event for which your team is registered). Exception: If your team is registered for the Universal Event, your project must be submitted in accordance with the local time of the team member who created your team. If you have questions about the deadline for your event, ask your Local Lead.
• Expectations: We know that you only have two days to complete your project! Thus, we do not expect you to have a completely finished, fully developed project at the end of the hackathon. Instead, we want to see your blueprint and understand the reasoning behind your ideas and designs, even if you don’t get very far into building them. If there are things you’d like to do that you didn’t get a chance to do, you can mention those on your project page.
• Project Demos: Provide a short demonstration ("demo") of your project, either in the form of a slide presentation (7-slide limit) or a video presentation (30-second limit). Hint: Global Judges often review Project Demos first to get an overview of your ideas and accomplishments. Read the Project Submission Guide for guidance on how to make a compelling Project Demo.
• Sharing Your Code: If you built a prototype using code, you should upload it to a cloud-based hosting service or code repository, and provide a publicly-accessible link to it in the “Link to Final Project” section of your project submission.
• Participant Certificate: Once you submit your project, your participant certificate will be available for download in your account Profile. Want to share your certificate? Post a screenshot of your certificate on social media! Share your certificate using #SpaceApps and tag us on X, Instagram, and Facebook for a chance to get reposted on our socials.
