Question about Citations in Storytelling #1031
-
Good morning! My team and I are working on the "Tell a Climate Story Challenge." We would like to know the citation rules for referencing scientific data in storytelling. Can citations be included only in the project submission without being on the platform that we develop? Is it necessary to cite even when paraphrasing, etc.? Thanks in advance! |

Good morning to you and your team! This is one of my favorite challenges - and SO IMPORTANT! Judges will love to see how you creatively integrate your citations in your slides or presentation. You have so much material to work with that you shouldn't be worried about it! Here are some ideas: when making a big or controversial or impactful statement, it helps to have citations (to give credibility, to establish facts, etc...). When you add in your own ideas and fresh perspectives, you don't need special citations. I love citations but they can hamper your creativity to shine. Have a great weekend. We look forward to seeing how you weave citations in to your spectacular solution! Good luck! |
