Nightly builds for linux

How do I install & use a nightly build on Debian? I have very surface-level experience with the terminal.

• Option 1:
  Using pip section in here: https://github.com/mikf/gallery-dl?tab=readme-ov-file#pip
  The gist is:

  python3 -m pip install -U --force-reinstall --no-deps https://github.com/mikf/gallery-dl/archive/master.tar.gz

• Option 2:
  Download from https://github.com/gdl-org/builds/releases.

I have the file, I just don't know how to use it. AFAIK, it's not a executable, and if it is, my Chromebook isn't registering it as one

$ chmod +x gallery-dl_linux

$ ./gallery-dl_linux --version
1.28.0-dev:2024.11.26

okay, so it didn't have a error when inputting the cmds listed, so, I'm assuming it installed, but, how do I use it now? Just putting in "gallery-dl ..." no longer works like it did with a snap install.

Just use ./gallery-dl_linux ... where you would have used gallery-dl ...

Edit: that is after cd'ing into the directory where you have the gallery-dl_linux file
