Hello,

is there any news regarding this feature? It would be especially nice if the email notifications work for recurring tasks.

What you ask for to begin with will require the implementation of the event reminder feature. And then it will be possible to implement the function of sending notifications.
Unfortunately at the moment I am working on another plugin.
I will try to find time for this function.
