I'm not 100% sure how you could do this, but you will need an escape key so that you can switch from vncd mode to nsh mode.
as for nsh to vncd mode, a command in the terminal?
If required, some clarification, when the user connects to a server they start in a new shell, they can then type in a command to get the servers current terminal view (like in vncd). When they want to exit vncd mode they can press a key (right ctrl?) and exit back into the separate shell.
