Name change with state?

I have an idea, is it possible to change the name of the end point while running? Here's my thought:

1. No playback, amplifier is off. Name = BigStereo OFF
2. Playback requested, amp turning on. Name = BigStereo Powering up
3. Playback going, amp on. Name = BigStereo ON
4. Playback stops, amp on. Name = BigStereo ON Stopped
5. Timeout after playback stopped, amp turns off. Name = BigStereo OFF

I already have a plan on how to automate the power of the amp with this program but the amp takes like 5-10 seconds to turn on and this would help the wife acceptance factor.

If it's not possible, because of Spotify, that's fine. It'd be a great feature though.
