Sneakers is mostly only limited by the broker speed (RabbitMQ). On a recent 2012 MBP it reaches 7000req/s for a silly microbenchmark while Sidekiq keeps at the hundreds (600-700req/s).

A detailed benchmark of standard EC2 instances and comparison will follow here soon.

From my experience, you can get up to 3000req/s from an EC2-Large while Sidekiq sits tightly at 600 (combined - 2 separate Sidekiq processes in order to use both CPUs)
