Lua script to convert number to individual ASC-II SysEx Bytes???

Hi,
I've been trying for a while now to use ReaLearn to send the current project tempo to my Novation LaunchKey MK3's LCD display (In DAW Mode, SysEx message required), but I haven't had any luck. I have tried selecting "Raw MIDI/Sysex" as the mapping source, and I can successfully send a single string/phrase to the screen, but it's not dynamic. I can't figure out how to write a script to split an integer value (the project tempo) into multiple ASC-II SysEx bytes, and then insert them into a bigger SysEx message to the Launchkey. Can anyone help me with this?

I managed to figure it out after reading about Lua scripts the User Guide for a while.
