Repository

https://github.com/georgezhao2010/midea_ac_lan

Checklist

  • I understand that this form should only be used for repositories that needs to be removed from HACS
  • I understand that a bug is not reason enough to have a repository removed
  • The repository is currently shipped as a default repository in HACS
  • I have tried to get the authors attention to the reason for removal

Why should this be removed?

Repo is no longer being actively maintained, owner is unresponsive for months now. Home Assistant gives an error stating that the integration will no longer work by 2024.10, and says to open a bug report.

https://github.com/wuwentao/midea_ac_lan has forked the repo, merged PRs, and will take over maintenance of the integration as per this comment.

Make sure you have read the issue guidelines and that you filled out the entire template.

If you have an issue identical to this, do not add comments like "same here", "i have this too", instead add a 👍 reaction to the issue description. Thanks! 👍

Ideally, this repo should be replaced with the fork, rather than removed entirely.

Second this, the fork by wuwentao is maintained better and working as expected (tested)

Oh wow. I use this and literally just happened to find this while trying to fix an HACS issue, lol.

It's getting so confusing because there have been like 6 forks of the same integration by this point. I have multiple and many have the exact same name. Every few 6 to 12 months the maintainer disappears, and a new fork appears like clockwork. Hope this lasts!

I feel the same way, like a spell
