Support min()/max() for string columns?

Recently there was a discussion on supporting string columns by cummin() and cummax(): #3334 (comment)

Since we support sorting of string columns, it is obvious this can be done along with string support by dt.min() and dt.max() functinons. It is not obvious though if this is something that would be appreciated by community.
