The geohackweek will take place from Nov 14-18 at the University of Washington's eScience Institute. For more information see the geohackweek website.
Geohackweek will include support* for geospatial tools, technologies, resources and datasets, to include:
- Google Earth Engine
- ArcGIS
- Google Earth
- Public cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure
- Cobalt Html5-based data visualization
- Worldwide Telescope GPU-based (PC-only) 5D geospatial vis engine
- GeoMapApp available through Lamont-Doherty
- DEM resources from ETOPO to LIDAR and beyond
- Ocean circulation resources from ECCO to ARGO and beyond
*support: Defined here as ranging from description and advocacy up to and including expert tutorials (group or 1-on-1) with demonstrations. The intent is for Geohackweek participants to discover and develop cursory understanding of new resources. Supposing you find something you'd like to explore further you should come away with an understanding of the adoption path.
