See convo in gitter here.

  • demand weights for clients
    • e.g. how many people "live" in each "residence"
  • service capacity for facilities
    • e.g. how many citizens can the post office serve?
      • Post Office A can serve 1000 people; that may be:
        • 10 group quarter residences (e.g. elder care)
        • 250 4-person family homes
        • 1000 units in a singles community
        • any combination of the above

The service capacity would be added to PMP model and P-Center?

Yes, it could be.

However, (considering our conversation earlier) the true objective of the p-center is to minimize the single worst case distance from any facility to any client (which the facility serves).

Let's discuss this further in tomorrow's meeting?
