I apologize if I'm missing something totally obvious, but I could not find a way in MultiBitMerchant to actually get the bitcoinj library PeerGroup to launch its thread, connect to the network, download the blockchain, and start listening for transactions. It seems like the network communications is just stubbed out (CallbackBitcoinService?). Is it possible that the back-end is not yet implemented?

That's the current situation. I did have it working a while ago, but stubbed it out while I was performing major refactoring work. The project is currently very early alpha and there is a lot to do.
