Please consider upstreaming async mysql code

I was talking to @fredemmott about the possiblity of getting this code upstreamed, and he said i should submit an issue asking about it. How possible is it?

This is certainly already one of our goals. But, this is not entirely up to us.

If you really want to see this in upstream MySQL, you (and as may other groups who are interested in this) should mention this to the upstream MySQL developers as well.

Open feature request at bugs.mysql.com, even better if you open a support
ticket with Oracle/MySQL

There hasn't been any request for this from Facebook. If you have any leverage with Oracle please ask for the feature.
