I don't know why but the changelog does not contain information about the latest version of server (in my example it's 3.12.1). Through this script, when checking the current version, it introduces 3.12.0 information and performs an update because it thinks.
I suggest change:
current_version=$(grep -Eom1 'Server Release \S*' "CHANGELOG" | cut -b 16-)
On:
current_version=$(grep -iwo "Server $version" logs/* | head -1 | grep -iwo $version)
And in this case move the variable version a few lines up. I mean:
version=$(printf '%s' "$server" | jq -r '.version')
