The dock blur feature, in my humble opinion, would be a great addition to eOS. And it's not just for luxury or to look more like MacOS.
In fact, there is a good justification, there are people who use wallpapers that have many mixed colors or many elements that can confuse or have a "polluting effect" on dock's readability, as the new dock currently now has a larger contour area (different from how it was with the old dock) it only has a transparency feature and not Blur effect.
The blur effect on dock would help to distinguish elements and background colors and highlight the dock even more from the wallpaper, improving the accessibility and UI/UX of the system.
Proposal
The dock would then take that area that dock covers from the wallpaper and create a blur effect along with the transparency effect (which already exists) based on the wallpaper increasing its readability.
Alternatives from GNOME like the "Blur my shell" extension can do similar things such as this.
