Support for *BSDs #52374
Comments
At this point we have not revisited our decision from before of not actively supporting *BSD. |
@EliphazBouye what is your use case? FreeBSD market share is almost nonexistent (well below 1%) so I don't think we can ever provide a first party support for it. |
@mraleph ok but on the 1% must developers like me want to continue to make our Dart/Flutter application on *BSD too |
This is something we're receiving substantial requests for in Dart Sass, even given the fact that we support running the compiled-to-JS version from Node.js as a workaround. See sass/dart-sass#2325 and sass/dart-sass#1173, and in turn sass-contrib/sass-embedded-host-ruby#228, sass-contrib/sass-embedded-host-ruby#227, nanoc/nanoc#1710, jekyll/jekyll#9462, and jekyll/jekyll#9493 which are downstream of us. |
//cc @mit-mit for your opinion on the above request. |
hosting on freebsd. |
At this point we don't have the resources to support *BSDs |
Basically the title.
I'm curious if there were any plans in the past to support FreeBSD/OpenBSD/NetBSD, and if we can expect support in the future.
