ICSx5 for remote read-only VCF files = VCFx5?

I'm thinking about using a remote read-only addressbook and phonebook using CardDAV protocol, for now only read/write login/password-based DAV does it.
As ICSx5 does the same way, for read-only no-login ICS files, why not syncing contacts on remote read-only VCF files?
That could be useful for:

• companies directories
• administrative services
• dynamic addressbooks and phonebooks (according to location or opened hours, for example)
  And so many cases.
  For sure, I'll add this app on my phone!

Interesting idea, however that use case is also already covered by DAVx5. You can set the address book to read only on the server and DAVx5 will recognize this. CardDAV servers can also be used without login credentials, and DAVx5 does support this over the extended login option.

Not directly, CardDAV is a protocol that relies on a server following this protocol on a contextual level (the server knows what it delivers to the client). ICSx5 does however not rely on a CalDAV server which would be the pendant you're referring to.

If you have a CardDAV server, import all your vcard files into the CardDAV address book, disable username/password auth for that, and enter the URL to the address book in the advanced setup in DAVx5. In this setup method username and password are optional, so you could just enter the URL and complete the setup without user authentication.

My purpose is not to add a VCF into a CardDAV server, which needs athentication to sync, but to directly read the VCF file for syncing its content (even when replaced).
I'll study DecSync solution, but an equivalent to ICSx5 for VCF could be great.

DecSync doesn't fit my needs, it works with local files (potentially synced from a remote place). I need to directly query a URL (remote file can be a dynamic file).
