TeX file unification introduces spacing discrepancies

For paper 1611.09842, the TeX file unification introduced in #134 causes reflow of the paragraph before one of the section headers in the appendix, and thus moves a bunch of the lines. This reflow problem seems to be pretty rare (it turned up in 5/100 papers I tested on, though many of them didn't need to be unified).
