I thought it would be a good idea to support these, but they keep accumulating and I don't think most of them are really used after import.

Hi @lalinsky,
Usually I rip my CD just to match an MB release in Picard and submit fingerprints, then I delete files.

Do you mean that if I don't save tags first now they won't submit?
Or does Picard submits fingerprints with matched MBID info, even without saving to files, already?

Picard submits always the recording ID the file is currently matched to, which allows linking to the metadata from MB.
