How to fill simple development environment with dummy data?

I'm currently experimenting with some small frontend changes, specifically features connected to the video.js player. As far as I understand, I would need to have the full gocast stack with all the workers and databases up and running. Furthermore, there need to be entries in the database and actual videos or streams that could be viewed and served through gocast in order to test the changes.

Is there a simple way of how to do this? Thanks!
