Apparently, the "avoid cross open walls" function works for exterior walls.
When printing model airplane parts made from PLA LW that are not optimized for Vase Mode, the interior of the parts experiences extreme stringing at the reinforcements, which is very difficult to remove.
Is there a way for the printer to not perform its travel moves directly across the model but instead take detours within the printable area, or even go around the outside of the part if necessary?
The increased print time would be the lesser evil in this case compared to spending hours cleaning the interior with a scalpel. External surfaces can always be sanded quickly anyway.
