On August 26th, 1pm to 2pm EST Alex Gold from RStudio will be presenting “How to create an R package”. This is part of R trainings organized for federal agencies.

Alex is a Solutions Engineer at RStudio, where he helps organizations integrate R and RStudio into their enterprise data systems. Before coming to RStudio, Alex was a data scientist and managed a data science team. He worked on economic policy research, political campaigns, and federal consulting.

In this session, you’ll learn how and why to create an R package for your organization. We’ll walk through the (surprisingly simple!) mechanics of creating a new R package, adding your own code, and creating tests. You’ll learn how to distribute and share your packages, and some tips for how to think about what should be in your R package.

Please don’t forget to get your supervisor approval as the event is during working hours. **The event will be in WebEx. **
