When i have used the Double tap on shift for caps lock

I have noticed that when i slowly tap twice on the shift key it will caps lock instead of stopping the holding of the shift key.

Can you add something under Double tap on shift for caps lock That's like called Tap twice in a row very fast to caps lock and if Double tap on shift for caps lock is not selected it should just gray out the option.

For now we're forced to type out a word to stop the holding of the shift key.

Add a option that let us only caps lock. if we double tap fast enough like in most keyboards.

If CAPS LOCK is on, tapping Shift once disables Shift and CAPS LOCK. Tapping a second time turns Shift back on, doesn't matter how fast.

It seems there is no adjustment of the interval for regarding a second tap as a double-tap. I recommend you disable the double-tap feature. You can still hold down Shift to get CAPS LOCK. This interval is adjustable. The device vibrates a second time to confirm.

Instead of an option that could be a default behavior, I don't think the current behavior is beneficial other than that it makes the code simpler.

But do you get into this often ? Also, do you know that you can long press shift for caps lock ?
Your feedback is important as I otherwise planned to remove double tap for caps lock in the future.

In the world of smartphone speed is important in typing and having the long press the shift will only make the typing speed worse.

There's a reason why this specific keyboard makes you swipe to type because that will remove the burden of having to click ?123 button everytime we want to write a apostrophe.

Apostrophe is important in grammar but people never use them, because modern keyboards are making them do 3 tasks just to type out a apostrophe.

Do you use caps lock so often that you need the speed of the double tap ?

Well sometimes i do write huge amount of text since i tend to forget things, and the speed does matter for me, so yes it matters.

In this case, I'd suggest you to disable double-tap for caps lock and instead add the caps lock key to the keyboard from the "Add keys to the keyboard" option.

If typing for speed, note also the recently added clockwise curl gesture to capitalize a letter. It beats dealing with SHIFT even for runs of 2-3 capitals.

Do you mind showing us, how to enable it and use it?

It doesn't have to be enabled. To make capital E: •Press down on the e key, •Drag upward (for example), Drag clockwise (ending up to the right of the key), •Lift finger.
