I have toshiba cb35 - a3120 chromebook
Processor Cerelon
speed: 1.4GHz
manifacturer Intel
Model celeron 2955u
Developer mode boot screen how to do it
Esc, Refresh, and Power keys, then Ctrl+D
internally model is LEON D3A-R4e-A90
Thanks to you folks I removed write protect screw and pilled off metal connector. I successfully loaded firmware ...
I can boot to gallium3.1 from USB just fine.
Now when I try to install os to second usb 64 GB as my internal sdd storage is only 16GB copy works but toward the end fails every time.
I tried to not upgrade binaries option and not to load third party drivers.
Is there anything else I need to do to install permanently Gallium to second USB stick.
Much appreciated ...

Did you try installing to ssd to see if it fails there? If it does fail when installing to ssd, then it is a installer issue. If it doesn't fail when installing to ssd, probably the installer doesn't support installing to usb. Try installing to sdcard.
I muddled through this using MX Linux and using internal add baked on the
board and small for / and /home volume aka users are on NFS slice. Works
like a charm for HA and house. Thanks....
