Tell us what you are trying to do

Fill out collection contacts in Manage Collection. Do we have a consistent policy on who should be listed as metadata provider? Is that the Arctos Consortium? the collection as agent? Ditto for creator. Just in MSB collections, these are all over the map. Since these will be published by GBIF, we should have a policy on what goes here?

What are relevant pages in Arctos

Provide a link to or a description of the page where you need help.

this comes up periodically: both are GBIF things and dont impact anything in Arctos except we can control at the collection level in the collection management form. So Arctos has no rules about it and does not require it since it's only useful for collections sharing with GBIF. GBIF as I understand it prefers an individual as opposed to the museum or collection but I havent kept up with recent thinking about this either.

seems like creator may not be a great term for what they would like to do with it
metadata provider another point of contact for the collection or perhaps to note a historic fact of who filled out their form? It seems it's been used in a few different ways over the years on gbif so maybe head over their and see how it's currently mapping with your collection.
